Ever feel like you're barely holding it together under the weight of this season?
What if "endured" doesn't mean gritting your teeth, but something far more beautiful?
Friend, this week I tried verse mapping for the first time, and one little word in Hebrews 12:2 stopped me in my tracks. Endured. In the Greek it means to remain under, to stay under the weight and not walk away. Jesus did exactly that on the cross, "for the joy that was set before him." He had a clear and divine why. In this episode I walk you through the five words from my verse map (looking, author, finisher, joy and endured), add just a pinch of neuroscience on why a clear purpose helps us push through stress, and rapid fire through what the Bible says about joy, from Philippians 4 to Psalm 30 to James 1. Joy and weeping can coexist, and the night never gets the final word.
Then we get Hebrews 12:2 memorized with a word picture you won't forget: a cozy cottage porch, a steaming cup of coffee (because HE BREWS), three crosses on a hill, and a hand stretched over a mansion that holds a goosebump surprise. If you're exhausted, walking through a heavy season, or convinced you just can't memorize Scripture, this one is for you.
Verses mentioned: Hebrews 12:2, Hebrews 2:10, James 1:22, Philippians 4:4 to 5, Psalm 16:11, Psalm 30:5, Psalm 139:7 to 8, Nehemiah 8:10, Proverbs 17:22, James 1:2, Colossians 3:2, John 14:2
Next week: ALL of Psalm 91, a special listener request, plus how to build a memory technique of your own!

Ever written out five affirmations, felt amazing for a day, only to realize it didn't stick?
What if renewing your mind was never meant to rest on your shoulders?
Friend, "renew your mind" has become such a trendy phrase. It's all mindset, manifesting, positivity journaling and future self visualizing, and I lived there for a long time without realizing how lukewarm I'd become. In this episode I share why my affirmations never really worked, and the huge relief I found when I stopped reading Romans 12:2 as one more thing on my to do list. Transformation isn't me trying to change me. The Holy Spirit renews my mind through Scripture, with the same power that raised King Jesus from the dead. My part? Read the Word, do what it says!
Then we get Romans 12:2 memorized with a word picture mnemonic you won't forget. Its just a quick walk with two Hebrew letters, a hand house, helmet, gingerbread cookie and more.
If you're exhausted, if Bible study feels like one more thing, or if you're convinced you just have a bad memory, this one is for you. It's simple, full of faith, and has a little neuroscience sprinkled in, whatever your learning style.
(REMEMBER your extra credit homework is reading 2 Corinthians 12:9)

Ever pray a verse like it's a blank check from God, only to find out later it was asking for something else entirely?
What if the real ask in Ephesians 3:20 isn't about a vacation, but a transformation?
Friend, I used to read Ephesians 3:20 as my permission slip to ask God for anything, a promotion, a holiday, whatever my heart desired. But when I actually walked through the verse in context, I realized Paul wasn't handing me a blank check, he was praying for something much bigger, inner strength, roots grown down into God's love, and the power to understand a love that's honestly too great to fully understand. I also share a question from Bible teacher Megan Fate Erickson that wrecked me, if God said yes to every prayer you prayed this week, would your life be comfortable, or would His name be glorified? Once we've sat with that, I walk you through how to actually memorize this verse using a simple ABC anchor, skip the D, E is for Ephesians, the same rhythm and rhyme trick I used to memorize architecture dates back in my degree.

Ever wish there was a way to lock in a verse's chapter and verse number as easily as the words themselves?
What if a slightly ridiculous hand motion could be the thing that finally makes a reference stick?
Friends, if you thought Isaiah 40:31 was a verse you already knew by heart, stick with me, because knowing the words was never actually my struggle. It's the address, the chapter and verse, that used to slip right through my fingers. In this episode I'm teaching you a full body anchor for Isaiah 40:31 (NLT): “Those who trust in the Lord will find new strength, they will soar high on wings like eagles.” We build it one gesture at a time: a T for trust, a flex with a popped pinky for Isaiah, and a wing swish for soar. Then I show you how that same hand shape locks in the actual chapter and verse, forty, thirty one, so the reference sticks right alongside the words. Yes, you will look a little ridiculous doing this in your kitchen or your car. Let's be crazy for the Lord together.

Ever catch yourself reading God's law hoping it earns you a blessing, instead of delighting in Him simply because He is God? Been there…
Wonder what a technique that looks like a game of Scrabble could actually do for your Scripture memory?
Friends, it started as a blessing that I was praying over my daughter and then it turned into art! In this episode I'm walking you through exactly how I memorize scripture as an adult, using a technique that looks a little bit like a game of Scrabble and a whole lot like meditating on the word. We dig into Psalm 1:1 to 3 (KJV), why I built my own crossword style word map out of thirteen keywords, and how walking, standing, and sitting became a lens for examining my own heart posture. I also get honest about something the Holy Spirit only recently handed me: I don't delight in God's law to get a blessing. I delight because He is God, full stop.

Do you wish you had the kind of courage David had when he ran toward Goliath, courage that came from actually knowing Scripture?
Ever wonder how Daniel walked in favor with a king who didn't even worship his God? He knew the law, and he kept it.
Welcome to the very first episode of Bible Memory with me, Keaghan! In this short trailer I pull back the curtain on my own story, from panic attacks as a first time university student in my late twenties to graduating with distinctions once I learned how to actually learn, and how those same skills now fuel my approach to memorizing Scripture. I share three biblical reasons to start hiding God's Word in your heart: David knew Scripture and ran toward giants because of it, Daniel knew the law and walked in favor because he kept it, and Jesus met temptation itself with "It is written." Knowing Scripture gives you courage, shapes how you walk, and equips you to flee temptation when it comes knocking.
